ABOUT IQAC:
The College has established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to improve quality and create policies as a post-accreditation step. Within the existing academic and administrative framework, the IQAC has been actively monitoring and engaging in Quality Assurance. The cell has evaluated the process on a regular basis, as stated in the Annual Quality Assurance Reports (AQAR) submitted to NAAC, Bangalore.
IQAC develops an academic plan at the start of each academic year and oversees its appropriate implementation through a variety of activities, programmes, and visits that result in academic and overall growth of students.
Objective:
- To develop a quality system for consistent programme action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the college.
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement thorough imbibing quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Strategies:
IQAC shall evolve mechanisms and procedures for:
- Ensuring that academic and administrative activities are completed promptly, efficiently, and progressively.
- Academic and research activities’ relevance and quality.
- Access to and affordability of academic programmes for people from all walks of life.
- Modern teaching and learning approaches are optimised and integrated.
- The validity of the evaluation process.
- Ensuring the sufficiency, upkeep, and proper operation of the support structure and services.
Functions:
Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:
- Arrangement of files of our existing feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related institutional processes.
- Acting as a nodal cell of the Institute for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices.
- Development and application of quality benchmarks for the various academic and administrative activities of the college.
- Organization of Institute level programs and quality related programs.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) of the Institute based on the quality parameters/assessment criteria developed by the relevant quality assurance body (like NAAC, ISO,NIRF) in the prescribed format.
